With more than 3000 visitors the international Christmas market in Alanya took place again on 13.12.2015.
Organized by the leadership of die foreigner association of the Alanya municipality and various clubs founded by foreign residents the Christmas market took place at the Alanya harbor.
Not only residential foreigners, also the Turkish locals opened stands and sold goodies and handmade souvenirs. There was also music, dance and various other organizations.
The Christmas market was a great success not only for the Europeans who are living in Alanya, it was also a great appeal for the Turkish locals.
The district administrator Mr. Tanriseven spoke at the opening: "In Alanya are living people from different nationalities and religions peacefully and happily together. We are an example for the world, and show how to live together in peace in a modern city. The Christmas market is an incomparable event and I feel as if I visit a city in Europe. "
Even the mayor of Alanya, Adem Murat Yücel, said at the opening: "Alanya is a city with a Turkish Islamic hospitality, as we have learned from our ancestors. I wish all our foreign friend and visitors Merry Christmas."
The sales proceeds of the Christmas market was donated this year to various associations of disabled people.
