Alanya's suburbs

Okucalar
Okurcalar is approximately 32 km west of Alanya’s city centre. In Turkey this area is well-known for its bananas, which is the main harvest fruit the village people live from. The cold and refreshing Alara River, offers popular, natural picnic sites in the area. The biggest Aqua Park in the Alanya region, Water Planet, is located here, too - directly at the coast of the Mediterranean Sea. The bus to Alanya and back is going frequently.

Incekum
After Okurcalar you'll come to the region of Incekum. This village area offers many places where you can calm down, have a walk in green forests or take a bath at some of the most beautiful beaches at the Turkish Riviera. "Incekum" means "fine sand", therefore you shouldn't be surprised by the wonderful, long and fine sandy beaches in this area.

Avsallar
Avsallar is about 23 km west of Alanya's city centre. It's connected with the Incekum area. Clear water and beaches (provided with the Blue Flag) are the special characteristics of this area. Avsallar has developed to a beautiful, small town with its own city centre in the last years.

Türkler
Türkler is about 17 km west of Alanya. Türkler offers clean beaches, clean sea water, and the beaches are not over-crowded. Türkler has approximately 3.000 inhabitants and has developed into a popular place for European tourists. From the small harbor ships are leaving for boat trips every day in the summer season.

Payallar
This small village has about 2.000 inhabitants and is one of the more calm regions with less touristic activities. You'll find some hotels, shops and restaurants a nice coast line and a lot of green area.

Konakli
Konakli, a suburb with 28.000 inhabitants, approximately 12 km west of Alanya. Most important source of income in Konakli is the tourism. In the last years this place has developed its own small town, where you can find everything for your daily needs.

Alanya
Alanya is the centre of touristic activities at the Turkish Riviera. Here you can find all activities and leisure places you want. The harbor area, the historical buildings, the two long beaches, the nightlife and the Taurus Mountains in the back offer a magnificent coulisse.

Tepe/Bektas
The hillside behind the city centre of Alanya is called Tepe and Bektas. This area, which holds a magnificent panoramic view over the city itself, over the castle and the Mediterranean, is a peaceful area where you can escape from the traffic and noise from the city. The hillside has mostly villas and is great for people, who want to live near the city centre but not feel the vibrations from it.

Cikcilli
Cikcilli is situated on the east side in the back area of Alanya. It is a fast developing area with lots of apartment buildings. The shopping centers; Kipa, Alanyum, Metro and Koctas is also in this area. Cikcilli is close to Alanya’s city centre. The beach is about 2 km away. The area is calmer than Alanya itself. Caused by the location in the mountains area, you have a great view to the two coast lines, the Alanya castle and the city.

Ciplakli
Stretching behind Oba, this region offers good view, fresh air, nature, AND new development. A part of Ciplakli is situated in a small valley, surrounded by green hills. This protect against noise from Alanya. The good infrastructure helps you to get fast and easy to the city centre and beaches. Behind Ciplakli pure nature is stretching out. It's an upcoming area, which promises to be a well-developed area for apartments and villas in the future.

Oba
The first suburb east of city centre of Alanya is the beautiful place Oba, approximately 3 km away from the centre. This place was named by the river Oba, which locates in the midst of this suburb, where you find shops, restaurants and cafés. The border of Oba reaches down to the beach area. Many European people found their second home here. Bus to Alanya every 5 minutes.

Tosmur
Tosmur, located about 3,5 km east of Alanya, has about 5.000 inhabitants. In this area mainly fruits and vegetables are cultivated. A small Aqua park offers pleasure for young and old. Due to the closeness to Oba there is much new development in this area, and many foreigners found there second home here.

Kestel
Kestel, about 7 km east of Alanya offers many cultural places to visit. The Dim Cave is the second largest cave in Turkey. The famous Dim Cay (River), located in the mountains, surrounded by beautiful nature, has lots of picnic places where you can enjoy a good meal and have a swim in the cold, refreshing sweet water.

Mahmutlar
The suburb Mahmutlar with its 23.000 inhabitants is the largest suburb of Alanya. Mahmutlar is located approximately 13 km east of Alanya and has developed to a delightful spot and is one of the fastest growing suburbs of Alanya. Mahmutalar has a 4,5 km long beach and its own city centre with a lot of touristic activities. Tourism, fruit and vegetable farming are the most important sources of income in this area.

Kargicak
Close to the Mahmutlar region you will find Kargicak. A lot of touristic activities have developed here the last few years. Kargicak has a sandy beach and very nice natural surroundings. Mostly used for villas, this region can be expected to develop to a charming touristic area. You'll find hotels, bars, restaurants and cafés as well as shops and markets.
